the glaze.
Art Studio Explorations
We’ll do recycle art, glass painting, watercolors, clay and much
more this week.
Cartooning
You don’t need to have the best drawing skills to create fun and
exciting cartoons, you just need some basic tips, a good story and the
right tools. We’ll start off with easy to do sketches and finish
with a cartoon booklet in full color!
Creative Writing
From poetry to adventure writing, we’ll do exercises that are
fun and easy to get your creative juices flowing.
Dare To Be Dramatic!
Play improvisational acting games and work as a group to write and perform
in your own play. Also, help make props and a set and give a performance
at the end of the week!
Drawing and Painting
Learn how to make everyday objects come to life by using soft drawing
pencils and specific shading techniques. Use acrylic paints to create
landscapes – both from your imagination and from life…
The Great Egyptian Adventure
Learn the secrets of Egyptian style code making and solve the mystery
of a hidden treasure.
Jewelry-making
Come make rings, bracelets, necklaces, head-pieces,… you name it!
We will use metal and colored wire (plastic-coated wire for those under
8) and glass beads to create some wacky wearable art.
The World of Wizardry
Solve mysterious puzzles, create your own magic wand and cape and take
part in the world of wizardry.
Magic Bag of Tricks
Every magician needs their own bag of tricks. Create your magic bag,
magic wand, magic cape and learn the art of performing tricks that will
amaze your friends.
Masks and Puppets
Make playful and brightly colored cardboard masks with wire and found
object attachments. Create beautiful hand puppets with paper-mache heads
and fabric bodies.
Papermaking and Book Arts
Make paper by hand and learn to marbleize and paste-paint in order to
create colorful decorative papers! Also, make pop-up cards and a double-bound
notebook that comes with a pencil holder.
Watercolour Painting
Learn the basics and then let loose. We’ll play with washes and
splatter and then paint some still life objects too.
The Wonder of Wire
